A Prayer from Deep Within

I am a daughter O Almighty God,

I ask for nothing but dear God,

Hear my prayers and bless my parents,

They are ones whom no one can replace.
They love me through thick and thin,
They show me the light from deep within.

Grant them health, protect them from evil,

Forever with humility may I follow their will.

You sent them to be Your image of Authority, 

May their lives be filled with love and serenity.

Help me forever to love them fervently, 
Give me grace to honour them truly.

And I am a sister dear Lord,

I ask for nothing but dear God,

If ever my sisters cry their lonely tears,

Give them strength to fight their fears.

Coz if by chance, I happen to die,
They’ll be the ones who would really cry.

I am also a friend my Lord,

And I ask for nothing but dear God,

When my friends seem breaking down or crashing in,
Guide them through and forgive their sins.

Words can never explain how I feel about them,
But I hope they know that I truly love them.

You made me a human afterall,

How can I be perfect, my hands are small.

My eyes have yet not seen the world closely,

Protect me please so I explore safely.

My heart is sensitive and my feelings tender,

To You with humility I wish to surrender.

Free me Oh God, from pride and wilfulness, 

And from sloth and stubbornness, 

In all my duties make me diliginet, 
In trials and tribulations, may I be patient.
Make me worthy to be called Your child, 
You’re my eternal Father in Heavens so bright.
